Ganta Ghar Clock Tower, Sukkur

This tower is situated opposite to the Victoria Market of the town. It is 90 feet high. This was built by the "Sunder Shewal Sabha", a social organization of the town in 1937 in the fond memory of Seth Deo Mal and Sundardas.

The project was funded by Seth Wadho Mal Nebhaoo Mal, the brother of the deceased. The tower was built with the cost of Rs. 10,000 and was inaugurated by Mr. Mirchandani, then Collector of Sukkur.

The vagaries of weather are lesser to be blamed in its fading beauty as compared to the man-made destructions. Tower's old clock, which was witness to many ups and downs experienced by the town, was not allowed to exist many more and was stolen during recent years! In the absence of clock, the building's status has been merely reduced as a tower.
