Virawah Temple, Tharparkar

Viravah, about 24 km north of Nagarparkar town, stands close to the ruined remains of Pari-Nagar which is thought to be an ancient port destroyed either by the troops of the Delhi emperor in 1226, or by an earthquake. (Cousens:14) It wholly built in white marble and consists of an open group of pillars with carved capitals.

The remains of buildings of which this single structure could have been a part are still in the vicinity. This stone is now displayed in the National Museum of Pakistan at Karachi.
