Kot of Kot Laloo, Khairpur

The ancient muddy kot situated on main Nawabshah Khum bypass in Kot Laloo is fastly losing its existence in the wake of un checked encroachment and want of due attention by the concerned government departments. Spreading over an area of almost 2 acres with a katcha wall having width of 7 to 8 feet, the small fortress of the unknown period is in a state of fast deterioration. It consists of six semi circular protective points on its corners with one main gate covered with wild bushes.

This is believed to be owned and constructed by one Haji Lal Bakhsh, whose name after this small settlement is famous. Presently this is occupied by one the people of Marri tribe.

Its major portion has been destroyed while on another portion, it has been occupied by the local mosque and Madressah. Its structure is identical to the Kot at Babarloi. [Source: Khairpur Jewel & Crown of Sindh by Momin Bullo]
