Crematorium, Jacobabad

The history of the town's crematorium, on Quetta Road, is as old as the town itself. It is the place where the community men perform last rites of their deceased relatives. The crematorium is also attached with an old temple where, the members of the Hindu community converge at and perform worship following the cremating rites of their deceased. It has a vast premises and also provide food and shelter to the community men free of cost. Hindu community is the original dweller of the town and has very qood population and it plays very effective role in local economy. During the colonial times the community had constructed a large number of temples in the town. With the passage of time many lost their existence in the wake of growing trend of forceful occupation or many have been demolished and new constructions were undertaken. Among them town's one of the oldest temple on Quetta road called as "Numani Sangat Sheva Mandli" was reconstructed in the year 2000.
