Collectors Residence, Hyderabad

Collector’s residence or Deputy Commissioner’s House, on Miran Muhammad Shah Road was rebuilt in 1939. It spreads over 4 acres. Renowned collectors and deputy commissioners of Hyderabad had the opportunity of spending their days in it. Syed Roshan Zameer, who served as Deputy Commissioner in early 1980s, built a nest like wooden chamber on a people tree inside the house, which is very much intact. Following the introduction of new local government system of 2001, the office of Deputy Commissioner was abolished and this house remained under the use of EDO Revenue for a decade period.
