Hardly very few architectural monuments of colonial period could have managed their existence in the wake of un controlled commercialisation and man made disasters. Some of the old government offices that have so far managed their survival
included Police lockup of 1928 and a forest office of more or less same period. It is said that during tne pre partition days political activity this lock up used to be full of the renowned hardliners of Pir Jhando Madarsali. Some old residential buildings in the town also exist under the constant threat of being demolished at any stage.
