Qenchi Bazar, Matiari


Qenchi Bazar (Scissor Bazar) is almost a 2 furlong-long Busy shopping street of the town, which was built during the colonial times.

The Bazar is covered with scissor like wooden ceiling and it is very much identical to the historic Dhak Bazar of Shikarpur. The Bazar by and large caters the shopping needs of the country side of the Hala Town and specially during the Eid days it usually witness unusual rush and fulfil the shopping needs of the local population, who can not afford to commute to the distant city of Hyderabad.

The Bazar originates from the main gate of the Shrine of Hazrat Makhdoom Sarwar Nooh (R.A) and it is occupied by the shops of all kinds to its both hands. Right from the articles of the handicrafts, manufactured locally to provision shops to cloth stores, this Bazar has a large capacity to satisfy the local buyer.
