Hotel Shabistan was once Archaeological Dock Bungalow of the visitors of Mohenjo Daro which is facing its eastern sky with Museum of Mohenjo Daro. This Dock bungalow has been constructed in 1963/64 along with the construction of Mohenjo Daro Museum which has been inaugurated by Field Marshal General Mohammed Ayub Khan in 1967. This Motel contained 3 double (VIP) rooms on upper storey and 6 single rooms. This has also been served as first booking office of Pakistan International Airline which was later on shifted to Sambara Hotel Larkana. During Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto regime Mr. Khalid Kharal (then Deputy Collector of Larkana) handed over this building to PIA for few years whose administration named it as "Hotel Shabistan".
