Radio Pakistan, Larkana


The building of Radio Pakistan Larkana is located on Wagan Road and was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on 24th September, 1995 as Medium Wave of 10 K.W which was later on converted into F.M. system. The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) is the state-run radio service which is popularly called as Radio Pakistan. This institution came into being on 14 August 1947 right with the emergence of Pakistan which can be called direct successor of the Indian Broadcasting Company which later became All India Radio. In October 1998, Radio Pakistan stated FM transmission and over the period 2002-2005, new FM Stations were opened at Islamabad, Gwadar, Mianwali, Sargodha, Kohat, Bannu, Mithi, Larkana and later on all over Pakistan.
