The real name of Peer Sher was Qutubuddin Shah Jeelani who has been titled as Pir Sher and Ghazi Deen. Tomb (Dargah) is located in a village Peer Sher at eastern end of Larkana city. His father (Pir Sayed Abdul Raheem Shah) was living in Rani pur where Peer Sher was born. In 1837 he migrated from Ranipur to Larkana and settled in Khalid township of Larkana suburb but later on he established his own village connecting his name "Pir Sher village" 3 Kilometer away from Larkana. He was follower of Qadria division of belief and preached his conviction right through the life. He was died on 1877 (1299 Hira) therefore every year on 18th, 19th, and 20th his festival has been celebrated which has been participated by famous artists of the country along with devotees, followers, local bureaucrats politicians and officers.
