Molana Muhammad Qasim Mashori, Larkana


Molana Muhammad Qasim Mashori was born on 28th March 1898 in Sahib Khan Mashori Village of Taluka Dokri. Molana was religious reformer, true Muslim, social worker, simple human, scholar of Hadith, Fiqa, hierarchy and Islamic jurisprudence etc. He was pioneer of religious institution "Madarso Ahl-e-Sunnat-w-al-jamaat" while he also established Madarsa Qasmia 22nd February 1912 in his village. His religious and spiritual teacher was Molana Ghulam Omar Jatoi of Sono Jatoi Village. Molana Muhammad Qasim has written many books on different religious topics while he also established a marvelous library where more then ten thousand books of various religions fields are kept for readers and researchers. He has been ardent supporter of Khilafat Movement and struggle of Pakistan. Molana Mashori died in 28th March 1990 in his native village at the age of 94.

Tomb

The 70 feet high tomb of the grave of Molana Muhammad Qasim had been constructed by his son Naly Mitho. Beautiful Minaret of the mausoleum is 130 feet high from land surface while the color matching fine art on granite and panel work around the mausoleum is admirable. The design of the tomb has been inspired from Lahore fort while the tomb was constructed by the mason Shabir Ahmed who with the help of his son Bashir Ahmed and 27 other laborers completed the task of making the burial place a unique piece of architecture.
