Officer Club, Larkana


This officers Club Larkana is reputed civilian alliance which is located on Hayyat Muhammad Khan Sherpao Road of the city having the facilities of a Squash Court, Badminton Court, Canteen, TV Room, spacious lawn and Gymkhana as well. Once this building has been the bungalow of Deputy Collector Larkana which has been given to the officers club during the foreign Minister ship of Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. First Secretary of this club was Mr. Qazi Akhtar therefore on the account of officer's club in Habib Bank Ltd. Which had been opened during seventies his name is inscribed.

Afterward during martial law regime of General Zia this house has been occupied by Military officials where they had been playing table tennis and badminton but the condition of the courts were very deplorable at that time. The appalling courts had been renovated by Mr. Imtiaz Shaikh while the labour was provided by Mr. Ameen Mengal. Soon after, the building and club was supplementary refurbished during the days of Mr. Aslam Sanjrani (then Commissioner Larkana). The club has been completely modernized and uplifted to present status by the efforts taken by Mr. Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui (then Deputy Inspector General of Larkana).

The restaurant and seminar hall of the building are under construction. Foundation stone of this new structure was paid by Mr. Aleem Lashari, the DCO Larkana (who was also present of the Club.) on Saturday 18th June 2011.
