The area of Al-Murtaza House stretched 4 acre and 11 thousand square feet. There has been an old three storey building Lai Haveli where Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was born in 1928 while the construction of new building of al-Murtaza house was started in 1951 and completed in 1956 by Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto who died two years after its completion. This was favorite building of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and has been called as heart of Bhutto family. There had been a covered well for the residents of the house to drink its water and to irrigate the garden contained hundreds kinds of trees, flowers and grassy parks. This bungalow has honored of dwelling many world reputed leaders like Raza Shah Pahlvi, Yasir Irfat, Colonel Kazafi, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Alnehyan, Mrs. Bandaranaike, General Edi Amen, Iskander Mirza, Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan etc.
