The ruins of an ancient mosque within the premises of already a ruined Bakhara Fort, overlooking shine of Zinda Pir, is at fast pace of losing its very existence. Situated at a considerable height in the midstream of river Indus, this abandoned mosque has very unfortunately never been cared or referred by any modern historian in their works. Architecture wise it resemble with Dabgir mosque in Thatta and Wahnaee Mosque in Tando Bagho, Badin.
According to the Gazetteer of the Province of Sindh, Sukkur District, 1916, "to the south-west of Shrine of Khwaja Khizr, is a ruined brick masjid with an inscription which gives the date 1011 A.H. (1602 A.D.). The best part of the whole congeries is the imposing gateway of the enclosure which is decorated with tile works, some of it old and good."
During the course of time it has lost its domes, walls and the wooden fixtures that may be. Presently all the four walls of its prayer hall are intact but are under constant threat to be caved-in at any time.
