Mir Faiz Muhammad Talpur I, during his reign established parallels of landmark architectural contribution in his area, identically and beautifully designed and developed during the period of Mughal emperor Shahjahan etc. with the architectural development in the defunct Khairpur State during his rule, he can be rightly called and claimed as Shahjahan of Khairpur State.

The Residence built by Mir Faiz Muhammad for his living purpose in Kot Diji Town is monumental work. Due to poor maintenance and watch and ward, the entire building is lying unattended without a compound wall. Until recently it was functioning as a local high school, however with the construction of new school building, behind the magnificent building of Faiz residence at the mercy of local residents.
