Jamia Darul Hudda, Therrhee , Khairpur


Situated on the main National High Way near Khairpur, Jamia Darul Hudda was established about 105 years ago by late Qazi Abdullah. The name of this religious seminary was suggested by Hazrat Molana Taj Mahmood Amroti.

Hazrat Molana Hamadullah Halejvi became its first teacher. It was once visited by Hazrat Molana Taj Mahmood Amroti and deposited 10 annas as a contribution for the new seminary. This madarsa's student enrolment, according to madarsh record is 650 out of which 200 are foreigners, while the number of teachers is 16. This institution is affiliated with Wafaqul Madaris Pakistan.

In June 1963 the madarsah site turned in to a battle ground when it experienced post partition history's first and the worst sectarian violence in which as many as 600 Shia mourners were killed by the sunnis and the students of this seminary.

Pirzada Abdul Sattar represented the Sunnis while the Shia community hired two senior lawyers from London and the case was proceeded in sessions court Khairpur. The present Mohtamim of this Madarsah is Molana Qazi Hamdullah.
