Wado Alam are the tallest flag is a prominent worship site of Muslims belonging to Ahle T'asheh school of thought situated in Khairpur city. It is considered to be the tallest Alam of the province of Sindh and is a center of antique valued "Zari", Ziarat "Jhoolas" etc. By the 27th Zul Haj it is lowered down and climbed up on lst Muharam. During the state period 50 healthy prisoners from the jail were engaged for the task. In 1970 His Highness Mir Ali Murad Khan Talpur, the former ruler of the state renovated, reconstructed and architectured its design. It is a replica of holy sights in Iraq and it is said that the masons were given maximum opportunities and liberty to visit and revisit Iraq during the course of its construction in order to imitate the holy sites of lraq at a maximum level.

The worship hall in the premises of Wado A/am is an architectural wonder, which contains a natural echo system in its platform. The "Wado Alam Complex" is a triangular in shape and has three main exit and entry points: among them two are big in size while the one is comparatively a small. Each gate has its own name. The worshipers enter into the Wado Alam Complex through Maula Huassain gate which is at least 20 feet high with 10 feet width and has an auto system. While the other gate of same size but different in shape is called Maula Ali Gate. All these gates remain closed through out the year while open once in the year i.e., on the 9th of Muharam. The sermon platform consists of half a circle dome with a concealed architectural technique of communicating the voice in the entire premises of the hall without using microphone system. After Shahjahan mosque, Thatta, this land mark monument is second of its kind in the entire country where human voice, even on a lowest pitch, can travel from one corner to another without the help of microphone. it is being looked after by 42-member scout group called "Pak Asghariya Hussaini Guard", which is on the payroll of the former ruler. Pak Asghariya Hussaini Guard remained vigilant round the clock and during the rituals of Muharamul Haram they usually take control of the entire premises of Wado Alam and provide maximum facility to the Azadars.
