Law College Khairpur , Khairpur

Once a Town Hall (as prominently written on the forehead of the old building) of the state of Khairpur, was converted into law college sometime in 1973 by the then Deputy Commissioner of Khairpur Mr. Manzar Akbar. Following the dismemberment of Khairpur State in 1955, this building, where sessions of the state assembly were used to be held, became vacant and remained abundant for quite some time until the district and sessions court was shifted to this premises. Because the district and sessions court building was declared as Commissionerate. Soon after being converted into the District Court all the portraits of the rulers and other dignitaries decorated on its walls were removed and shifted to then public library. One of its portions facing the road was spared for a public library, called Faiz Imam Library. This was built in 1908 with an estimated cost of Rs. 30511. This was built during the era of Mir Faiz Muhammad Khan Talpur. This building can be rated as one of the finest and oldest architectural contribution of Talpur rulers of the state.
