Faiz Press , Khairpur
The building presently housing Superintendent of Police (Investigation), opposite Circuit House, in actual was Faiz Press, which was established sometimes in 1914. During the course of time the building has remained under different use by the different agencies. For example, following the dismemberment of Khairpur State in 1955, this building was converted into D.|.G Office. In the wake of devolution system, which was launched in 2001, the building is being used by the SP Investigation. It may be recalled that the offices of Faiz Press were relocated to the then state's industrial zone, opposite Railway Station Khairpur. Ironically, the same building where Faiz Press worked for more than 50 years has been dismantled and being shifted to another location. More importantly, during its heyday Faiz Press played a vital role towards the public awareness and publication of standard material. Sour: after the partition the Faiz Press potentially catered the publication needs of then newly established Sindh government.
