The Dargah (shrine) of Ubhan Shah is situated on the highest peaks of the Rohri hills passing through District Khairpur. The mausoleum of Syed Ubhan Shah houses three graves including two of his nephews. This Dargah is being looked after by the kandhro Faqeers, who live in a nearby village.

Although there is no confirmed details about Ubhan Shah, a popular story says that Ubhan Shah once fell in love with a non-Muslim woman living in Kot Diji. He was chased by the heirs of the non-Muslim lady. After reaching this hilltop, he prayed to Allah to save him from the attackers. His prayer was heard and the earth beneath his feet opened up to a hole where Ubhan Shah lowered himself in the upright position. The word "Ubhan" has been derived from Sindhi word "Ubho" which means straight or upright.

Under the Ubhan Shah hill there is also an very big old and new graveyard, and a mausoleum of Bahawal Shah. The bazaar leading to the shrine is made on a slope, which gives it an even more exotic feel.
