Kandh Kot Mukhtiarkar Office is among the oldest existing government offices built in 1902. A large portion of this building has already been encroached or demolished. The building is though no more in use but it is very qualifying to be declared as protected heritage under prescribed laws. During the rioting in the wake of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's martyrdom, this office also came under attack and was torched by the rioters.

Besides this building is a judicial lockup and next to it is town's Police Station which was built in 1911. A building near to it presently, used as the official residence of SHO. It was built in 1904.

It the concerned government departments didn't take efforts to declare them as protected heritage, it is likely that they may lose their existence at any time in the hands of encroachment mafias.
