The Shrine of Hazrat Syed Ameer Muhammad Maki son of Syed Muhammad Shuja, came to Sindh from Iran in 1260 A.D. and first chose to settle at Sukkur and then moved to Rohri. The Rizvi Sadats trace their descent from him. The shrine is situated in Maki Colony near to Deputy Commissioner House. He died in 691 A.H. His grave is only covered with wooden chamber while the entire shrine premises is with out ceiling. Four other graves are also contained in the chamber which stated to be of Abul Makarum, Syed Zaid, Shaikh bin Shaikh Hamid and the spouse of Hazrat Muhammad Maki Shah. The shrine was built by Nawab Mir Yaqoob Ali Shah and was later on renovated by his son Mir Sadiq Ali in 1901.
