Gao Shala, Jacobabad

On Quetta Road, lies yet another monumental Hindu worship place called Gao Shala (cow breading centre), which was built in 1892 in the memory of Seth Dolatram, by the Hindu Penchayat. The premises of Gao Shala comprises a temple, a cow breeding centre and a vast play land for the community. With the passage of time the building has undergone repair and renovation works by the community men & consequently its historical outlook was by and large tarmished. It is said that before Indo-Pak partition, there used to be a huge garden in the premises of Gao Shala, which was deserted following the mass migration of Hindus from the town. Some of its old portions have been demolished & new construction has been made.
