The steel water tank in the Railway Colony, is though no more in use these days, but the local police, making most of the tank's underground room, converted it into a checkpoint.
The tank was constructed more than a century ago for the purpose of providing drinking water to the residents of the Railway Colony as well as a park, which was then called as Tanki Bagh.
The steel tank had the capacity of nearly 14,000 gallons of water supply. Local residents making most of the opportunity have encroached the tank's space and the old park has lost its entity.
