Hyderabad had remained the main battle ground between the forces of Charles Napier and the Talpur Ameers, until the final round which brought ultimate end to the indigenous rule and allowed Britishers to govern the region for over a century. All the three battles that were fought between two armies, were subsequently demarcated by the new rulers and memorial pillars bearing the history of the battles were erected: Latifabad, Miani and Dubbo. Fortunately, all the three pillars exist in very good condition, however, the uncontrolled agricultural activity around these memorial stones has posed them a serious thread.
This war memorial made of yellow stone is in very good condition till date. Its surrounding has been encroached.
