An arched gate near Railway Station Sukkur, was constructed during early 20th century, commemorating the visit of Mahatma Gandhi during pre-partition days. Until the creation of Pakistan in 1947, it was famous as Mahatma Gandhi Arch. Later on it was renamed after then military ruler Field Marshall Ayub Khan.
