Rohri Hills are located in the northeast corner of the province of Sindh. This is a small hilly sequence stretching some 73 kms N/S to 20 kms E/W directions. It is surrounded with Nara Valley and Thar Desert on East and South while Indus plains are on the western side. This limestone hilly sequence supplied variety of raw material like chert/flint, lime stone and fuller's earth to the ancient people, and is a paradise for modern day quarries and contractors, quarrying stone for construction of roads, cannals etc.

The evidence recorded contained thousands of workshops and quarry pits. The cultural evidence found on the hills included tools of lower, middle, upper Paleolithic and Mature Indus period tools and workshops. Period: Paleolithic - Mature Indus.
