The site of Mankan Waro Daro also known as Manktaro and Manak Daro. It is also mentioned by historians as an ancient Soomra period site, however, it can only be verified through archaeological intensive investigation of the site as burnt bricks and brick bats are found on the surface and mud bricks wall is evident in a section of a robber’s trench on the mound.
The cultural material is scattered over the mound which perhaps belongs to the Islamic period, it includes: plain and painted pottery, incised design pottery and terracotta animal figurine.
The southern part of the site has presence of recent graves.
There were mud bricks structural wall evidence noticed on the northern side of the high mound, where a robber’s trench was dug by unknown people. The major portion of the mound has been destroyed. Period: Islamic, chronology: 12th to 18th Century AD.
