Fath Khan Sister, Thatta

The brick-built tomb stands to the north-east of the tomb of Malik Rajpal and has an Arabic inscription inside, which is dated to 898 A.H./A.D. 1492. It is attributed to the Sister of Fath Khan, who was the son of Jam Nizamuddin. The original building, which stands on a raised plinth, is square in plan, measuring. 29-ft. 7-in. each side, to which an additional structure, 13-ft. wide, was added later. The main building has three arched entrances, one each on the north, south and east. Only the southern arched entrance has a stone door frame fitted into it-an innovation for the first time seen in Samma architecture. The lintel of the door has sun flower in the middle and the sill shows the normal half moon-stone.
