Topi Site, Kambar Shahdadkkot


The site is located in taluka Qamber district Qamber-Shahdadkot, it lies on the edge of a rivulet flowing down from the hills of Khirthar mountains. At present there is thick vegetation in the bed of the above rivulet. Huge concentration of cultural material is found on the flat surface, slop and the top of the Topi hill. The cultural material from Topi site comprises of Hakra, Nal, Amri and Kotdijian periods.

The site lies chronologically between 4th and 3rd millennium B.C. and is of great significance having evidence of the early Indus tradition, the formative stages of the Mature Indus period of the Indus civilization.

Accessibility: the site lies about 25 kms west of Qamber on Qamber-Ghaibi Gero Road.
