Watayo Faqir had born in 1643 near Umerkot todays Tharparkar District. His so called name was Watanmal. He had died in 1712 AD in the age of 70 years. It is said that his father's name is so called as Melaram, who was resident of Tajpur near Nasarpur, nowadays Tando Allahyar District. He had been travelled with Shah Inayat Rizvi. As a result, it is claimed that he was Muslim and got affiliation with Madarsa Makhdoom Ismail.
