Close to the foot of the Karoonjhar hills and south of the Bodhesar mosque are situated three Jain temples, separated from each other by small though furrowed plain. These structures are supposed to have been built in 1375 and 1449.
Temple No. 2: The temple No.II it is the largest of the Bodhesar group. It stands on a platform about a metre high and 120 wide on the front side. This temple is a centrally planned structure with nave and a square aisle around it. The Nave is colonnaded with 4 columns on each side and roofed with corbelled low dome of the shape of an inverted bowl supported on octagonal base of beams resting on eight columns.
All the stone used in the temple is kanjur and red sandstone, which are not available locally. However, the stone used in the platform and the attached compound wall is local sand stone or granite of red tint.
