Myun Syed Haji Shah, Matiari

The grave of Mvun Syed Haji Shah is situated outside the present town of Matiari. Myun Syed Haji Shah belonged to Esab Pota Syeds. It is said that Myun Syed Haji Shah used to provide drinking water to the travelers passing through the village then called as "Changan Jo Goth". For providing cold water to the travelers he maintained a large number of earthen jars (mat or matyun in Sindni language), that is how this village was renamed as Matyari.

The roofless graveyard of Myun Syed Haji Shah houses six more graves with a recently built mosque besides it. His date of death is reported as 1202 Hijri.
