The building of Sachal Sermast Collage at Ranipur is completely in shambles. Three storied building of Sachal Collage, was once a heveli of a prosperous Hindu Zamindar who left after partition. It was later on occupied by the government and was later on converted into an intermediate collage and was named after Hazrat Sachal Sermast. It is said that KB Muhammad Bakhsh Shaikh played a vital role in establishing a collage in this building and renamed it after his mentor Harzat Sachal Sermast. At one stage, the was converted into a student's hostel when the collage was shifted to its new premises. At present, this building which is located in the Bodlo Bahar Mohalla, is being occupied by the employees of the collage or the outsiders. It is said it was purchased for Rs.35000 after the partition. If proper attention was not given towards the maintenance of this building then the days are not far away when this building can meet any mishap. This building is divided into equal portions with two different stairs. This is a mixed masonry work.
