Meeran Jee Daidhee, Khairpur

Meeran Jee Daidhee is an abandoned haveli on National High way opposite Raboo Waree Khad (ditch of Raboo or Rabnawaz, which was one's used as a picnic spot by the rulers of the time & used to sail in the pond in the company of their spouses), near Qarbala Moala in Khairpur city.

This is owned by Mir Khan Muhammad Khan, the first President of Khairpur State. This building is surrounded by the newly constructed buildings of the owners of Daidhee rendering this historical building into a public toilet.

Daidhee is a Sindhi word which means a small wall usually constructed inside the main entrance of any house in order to avoid direct exposure of the house. Similarly, this building, which is completely at the verge of collapse, was constructed on the front portion of the rest of havelis of Talpur Ameers in order to avoid direct exposure to the moment inside the havelis.
