The power house at Khairpur had a less capacity to cater the energy needs of the whole area. For that matter, a new Power House and water works were established and inaugurated at Kot Diji soon after the Indo-Pak partition to offer electricity services to the royals' residences in an efficient manner. New Plants were purchased and installed.
