Like other towns of the district, Karampur town has a considerable population of Hindu community. They are basically involve in trade. By virtue of their predominance in the town they have also some worship houses. There are two temples in the town each owned by the Hindus and the Sikh community which are stated to be converts and one of the sects of Hinduism.
The Thalho Sahib Temple, in the middle of the town, was constructed about three decades back. Anil Kumar is its shewadari. Its annual fair (mela) is celebrated in January every year.
Guru Arjun Dev Temple, constructed about a decade ago, caters the worship needs of local Sikh community (about 50 to 60 Sikh families live in Karampur). The Sikh community call themselves as one of the followers of a sect of Hinduism. They do not wear long beards like Sikhs nor they adorn turbans nor they follow the religious rituals as observed by the main Sikh community. Mr. Om Parkash is the head of the Gurdwara. The annual mela of the temple is observed in the months of May and June.
