Dakhan Bungalow, Kashmore

The old Irrigation Rest House on the left bank of Shahi Wah near Kashmore exists no more. All its fixtures and furniture have been uprooted and stolen without any check. The village where it is situated near the Indus Highway is also famous as village Dakhan Bungalow.

At a short distance from this bungalow, there lies an 8-gate old red bricked bridge on Shahi Wah. Although the year of its construction is unknown, nor it bears any commemorative stone indicating its year of construction. Its gates are wide with about 20 feet height. Due to negligence on the part of irrigation department, the protective walls of the bridge have collapsed and its stands in a state of disrepair since quite long time. If no repair work was undertaken timely, this monumental bridge is likely to cave in at any time.
