Like other parts of the district, Bakhshapur town and its country side is rich with history and heritage. Ridley Anglo Vernacular School stands as one and the only living sign of imperial rule in the area. Single blocked, School building comprising over six rooms is an airy. Its architectural design is well according to the weather needs and requirements of the area. Every room has two doors and four windows facing each other. Presently it has been converted into a primary school of the area. Ironically, school's old vast ground exist no more these days which has been obviously occupied and encroached by the neighbouring citizens. Consequently the school campus has virtually been reduced to a very small area and size. This historic school building was constructed in the year 1932. Mr. Ridley, served in Sindh in different capacities. He also served as a Revenue Commissioner of Sindh.
