Kandh Kot has remained centre of socio-politico and administrative activity since very beginning. That's why the rulers of the time did their best in providing maximum number of facilities to the town or its dwellers.

The establishment of a big rest house in the town is one such example of the importance of the town. It was established during colonial period and do not bear any inauguration stone. It is out of use since quite long time and is completely in precarious condition. Wild bushes has grown in and outside it. Number of small quarters associated with the rest house have either destroyed or illegally encroached.

The building can be made functional after a necessary repair works to be under taken. Moreover, a large portion of its area has been illegally occupied by the local residents.
