Town public library is named after country national poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. It was established a year after the partition and was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Hameed Khan, the then deputy commissioner of the Upper Sindh Frontier (presently Jacobabad). The local people converge it in large number of referring newspapers or the periodicals. The building is in precarious condition.
