The town provides higher education facility for boys and thus a degree college in public sector was built in early 1970s is very much functional. It was inaugurated by then Sindh Education Minister Mr. Dur Muhammad Usto, on October 29, 1973. With the opening of this institution in the town, a ray of hope for over all development became visible among the residents. The institution has by and large succeeded in increasing and enhancing the literacy ratio in the area. College's boarding house for students is under the control of paramilitary troops.
