Citizen Club in the town was established by Mr. Bashid Moriani, then Deputy Collector, Kandh Kot. This aimed at to increase social interaction among the serving officers and the town's noteables.

The club was inaugurated by Syed Darbar Ali Shah, then commissioner of Khairpur Division on July 31, 1964. Due to many reason it is no more in use putting an end to the glorious tradition of the town.
