KB Khudadad House, Sukkur

The residence of well-known historian and the civil servant, Khan Bahadur Khudadad Khan is situated in old Sukkur.

The residential compound also included the grave of Khudadad Khan and a mosque built by him in 1901. The small house is richly decorated with wall mounted old photos of colonial officers and tribal chiefs of Sindh.

The antique furniture and fixtures of the house are of greater historical significance. The heirs of Khudadad Khan have properly managed the preservation of antique armory, documents and the books of their elder. A sword gifted to Khudadad Khan by Mr. James, then Commissioner in Sindh is also in the possession of the heirs. For documenting such old valuable record I made multiple trips to the house.
