Jalwa Gah Imamian, Thatta

According 'Tuhfat-ul-Tahrin' and 'Tuhfat-ul-Karam', the present construction place of Jalwa Gah Imamian was once a vast barren land. In the reign of Jam Nizamudin, it is said that a shepherd, went there regularly for grazing his goats and sheeps. His goats and sheeps did not stop at that place and went away farther for grazing. Some people always came there for praying. He was astonished to see these happenings. After some days, he inquired of those people about that place, who replied to him, "there are some great saints buried at this place, and sacred persons always came here." It is also said that in the period of Samma dynasty when the sons of Makhdum Ahmed and Makhdum Mohammad came here after praying at different saints of Makli hill, they took off their shoes and sat down with sanctity and started praying. It is said that, after above mentioned incidents, it came to be known as Jalwa Jamal Jehan and Hazrat Imamian Karimian always came to that place. And accordingly it became sacred place.
