Built in 1918, the building once used as the Office of Deputy Collector in Hala town is completely in shambles. It is said that the office building was used to the surrounded by orchards and lash green lawns. The office was at one stage converted into Sub Divisional Magistrate's office, which continued to be in use till the 1980s. When the building became somehow weak, it was vacated and left abandoned and a new building was constructed besides it.
