Government Girls School Larkana is located on western edge of Station road and was established on 13th August 1963. Originally this is building of an old fort of Kalhora rulers which has been converted into hospital by British officials. First civil hospital of Larkana had been opened on June 1st 1909 in this building which was one storey brick structure with accommodation for thirty patients. A hospital had previously existed at Shikarpur and was closed on the opening of the hospital at Larkana. At that time Station road was famous as Baker Road. Later on in 1950 the High school of its facade house has been shifted in this building while the building of Madarsa School had been given to Government Girls Degree College Larkana.
