Otaq of Sardar Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto, Jacobabad

Village Dodapur situated on the way to Garrhi Khairo, was founded by the local Zamindar Doda Khan Bhutto, the great grand father of former Sindh Chief Minister, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto. He was the prosperous land lord and had vast land holding in the area. Presently the lands are being looked after by Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, who is the legitimate owner of the estate spreading in as many as 4 dehs of the taluka: Dodapur, Sonewah, Wah Ali Haider and Korgachal. Just besides the main Garrhi Khairo Road lies the old otaq of Sadar Mumtaz Ali khan which was built by his grand father. It is also attached with a small old mosque. Moreover, a new rest room has also been built by the Bhuttos besides the old one. Dodapur village is inhabited by the people mostly belonging to the non-Baloch castes including: Chana, Mangi, Kori, Syeds, Shaikhs and Kumbhars.
