This school is situated in the down town area. New vidyala School, presently Dr. N.A. Baloch Model School of University of Sindh was established in 1897 by Rai Pirbhdas Shewe Das. This institution was upgraded to the status of High School in 1900. It continued to functional as high school until the creation of Pakistan and relocation of newly created University of Sindh from Karachi to this building. However, soon after the construction of new building of the university in Jamshoro, this building was evacuated and again turned into a school affiliated with the university.
The building is a novel work of yellow stone and brick masonry. It comprises over a vast Principal’s office, an spacious Senate Hall, several class rooms on the ground and first floors. It has two wooden staircases each on the left and right sides. Clock tower, with a functional clock is a unique gift for the area people. The building was for the first time restored in 1998 was the efforts of then district administration of Hyderabad.
